The fabulous glass art of Daum has been cherished by art collectors worldwide for over a century. One of the most influential designers of the Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements, Daum was founded by Jean Daum in 1875 with his purchase of a glasswork in Nancy, France. In 1885, Jean Daum's son, Antonin established the company's "Art Department" specializing in innovative design. Daum's master glassmakers represented the best in their field. Within the decade the company was introducing new techniques in artistic glassmaking, ultimately winning the grand prize at the Paris Exposition in 1900. Daum's pieces have thus always been original, distinctive and of the highest artistic quality.
